Jhang is situated in the centre of Punjab.The first city of Jhang was built in 1288 by Rai Sial with the advice of Hazrat Shah Jalal Bukhari (his peer). Jhang is called the land of two rivers (Chanab& Jhelum) which run through more than 100 Km and meet together at Traimu, where head work is established to get 3 canals which irrigate almost 20 % of the Punjab’s land.
It is the only district in Punjab which has it s common borders with 10 districts which are Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh in east, Khanewal and Muzaffargarh in south,Multan, Layyah, Bhakkar in west, Kushab in northwest, Sargodhain north, Hafizabad & Gujranwalain northeast. There are separate high ways leading to these districts.
Jhang is linked with Railway line where two trains moves one from Rawalpindi to Karachi and 2nd between Hazara& Karachi. Apart from these few other trains are moving between Sargodha & Multan. Daewoo Bus service has vast network connections from Jhang including Peshawar, AbbotAbad, Islamabad, Sialkot, Lahore, Faisalabad, Bhawalpur, Multan, D.I.
